Inflection Award 2025: Meet the winners driving climate research forward

In September 2024, the Inflection Award was launched to support pioneering early-career researchers tackling some of the most pressing challenges in climate science.
This week, the inaugural cohort of 30 exceptional climate pioneers - young scientists from across the globe whose work has the potential to drive real-world impact - gathered at the Award event in Paris. Selected from over 500 applications from researchers at leading global institutions, these winners truly stood out for their bold and ambitious approach to tackling climate challenges.
As the planet nears dangerous climate tipping points, the Inflection Award, backed by Quadrature Climate Foundation (QCF) and organised by tech venture studio Marble, aims to create a turning point in climate action. By supporting emerging experts working on cutting-edge solutions in emissions reduction, carbon removal, and adaptation, the award helps bridge the gap between research and real-world application.
Research is critical to the development of innovative climate solutions. Yet, a significant barrier to realising this potential is the underutilisation of young, talented scientists who possess the skills and ambition needed to drive these solutions forward. Now, more than ever, we need the brightest minds working on breakthrough solutions.
The Inflection Award is part of QCF’s commitment to supporting science-led climate solutions that can drive systemic change. We look forward to seeing how these young pioneers will shape the future of climate action. Meet the winners and learn more about their work here.
